What can be said a very cool song . I remember laying in my bed at school Schreiner College Kerrville Texas in 1973 and dreaming about my girlfriend Laurel .... so far away .. remembering all of the great time ... so lonely .. Wow thanks for this song Dan .. may you rest in peace . Your missed

What a wonderful experience for you. I plan on going to Maine this August and seeing the Reach. I want to try to do it on his birthday. It must have been a very almost "spiritual" experience for you. And you're right, he is very deeply missed.

Last weekend I drove by his home on Deer Isle. I stood there looking at his home thinking back on his legacy while "The Reach" played in my head. Then I realized that yes - it was in fact Maine. It was Autumn. The birches had just begun turning. And there I was looking at his home with the Eggemoggin Reach in the background. I stood there attempting to take it all in. It was a very special moment that I will never forget. He is deeply missed.

To "meejet" three months ago:You said about Dan three months ago,"You were wise beyond time and space". Dan was proof enough for me that there are 'higher worlds" to which you can tune intoas an artist or any person..like Dan did to write his music.There is life beyond death in the pure spirit world and that is where Dan is now...along with the many others we have " lost along the way" Soul power....!Dan is in our hearts.
